在社会加速与算法编排的媒介时间中,视频观看由线性转向碎片化。作为算法治理的核心议题,碎片化信息消费稀释还是拓宽了用户的视野目前仍存有争议。研究旨在探讨用户视频消费的碎片化如何通过活跃性影响内容多样性。基于337名B站真实用户的行为数据与人口属性数据,研究构建了碎片化程度、活跃性与内容多样性之间的中介模型。研究发现,视频观看的碎片化程度显著正向影响内容多样性,并通过提升用户活跃性实现完全中介作用。此外,不同视频类别的碎片化消费对多样性的影响存在显著差异,生活和时尚类视频更能有效提高多样性。本研究为理解碎片化消费对内容多样性的影响机制提供了实证支持,同时将社会加速的宏观叙事细化为“微时性”这一日常生活实践的行为单元,对“过滤气泡/信息过载”的既有观点进行了情景化修正。
